CHRISTMAS TREE SAFETY
Monday, November 26, 2018

  • Make sure the Christmas lights wires aren't frayed or cracked
  • Don't overload your electrical system
  • Make sure candles aren't too close any else that can burn
  • Don't leave candles unattended
  • If you have a  live tree make sure you keep it watered

Keep in mind that the time it takes for the room and contents to become unsurvivable, just think about how long is it going to take to get everyone out of the house, call 911, for the dispatcher to get just the address of the emergency and what the emergency is, then alert the fire company, members respond to the station, get the fire truck inservice, drive to the emergency and then start fighting the fire.  See what a few minutes of prevention can do to keep you and your family safe.
