Storm Damage

On April 13, 2020 at 16:08 hours Little Creek Fire Company was alerted for a trailer that was blown off of it's foundation in the unit block of Weeping Willow Ct. While responding 54-5 Officer (Captain Robert Benitez) was advised that there was a 2nd incident in the area of 1000 Kitts Hunmock Rd of a tree down. On Arrival Captain Benitez established command and  rerouted Brush 54-0 to Kitts Hummock Rd. He also assigned Engine 54-2 to investigate Sam Wilson Ln and Woods End Rd. Ladder 54 was assigned to check patients and secure trailer. 54-2 advised that there was heavy damage along Sam Wilson Ln and needed more assistance. L54 Officer (Chief Scott Bundek) took command of that scene and directed the operation of removing hazards for the residents and working with the City of Dover Power. Crews spent 2 hours on scene assisting the residents with opening the street. Removing the trees from on top of residences, vehicles and making sure all residents had egress.
