At 10:39 hours on August 15, 2020. The Little Creek Fire Company among with Mutual from the Dover, Leipsic, Camden Wyoming and Magnolia Fire Companies was dispatched. For a Chicken House Fire. Fire was reported to Kent County 911 as a tractor inside the building. On arrival of Command 54 Chief Bundek found an approx 40 x 200 building with a smoke condition and fire inside the middle of the building. The owner had secured the emergency generator and power prior to our arrival. Squad 54-5 arrived on scene and laid a 800 foot supply line and the crew stretched a 1.75 line and extinguished the tractor. Engine 46-5 arrived and the crew was assigned to look for extension into the structure. The Fire was placed under control in under 10 minutes. Minor extension was found in the building. Today’s fire is another example of the benefit of our 24/7 Duty Crew. The first unit arrived on scene in less than 5 minutes from dispatch.
